The 45th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and the 28th electronicAsia opened today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, running concurrently through October 16. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and MMI Asia Pte Ltd, the two fairs bring together over 3,200 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, including major players from the Chinese mainland, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, the United States, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
This year's Autumn Electronics Fair focuses on three key areas: AI and robotics, digital entertainment, and the silver economy. A highlight is RoboPark, which gathers several major Chinese mainland technology giants from the “Hangzhou’s Six Little Dragons” and “Shenzhen’s Eight Great Guardians of Embodied Intelligence.” Companies like Deep Robotics are showcasing the X30 Quadruped Robodog, equipped with waterproof protection, intelligent navigation, and thermal cameras, ideal for tunnel patrols and emergency rescue. PaXini Technology presents the humanoid robot TORA One, featuring advanced tactile sensing and AI vision for service, logistics, and healthcare applications.
Prof Frederick Ma, Chairman of the HKTDC, visited the fair and emphasized Hong Kong's role as a superconnector, stating, “The HKTDC has consistently supported enterprises in going global, helping them with transformation and exploring new markets.” The HKTDC has organized 120 buying missions from 61 countries and regions to source products at the fairs.
New this year is RISE Avenue, showcasing emerging electronic technology brands, and the Adventure Hub, which offers immersive experiences with VR, AR, and AI in activities like golf and skiing. The Hall of Fame features over 500 world-renowned brands, while the Tech Hall includes the Hong Kong Tech Showcase, highlighting innovation from about 40 local tech companies. The Startup Zone provides a platform for over 90 tech entrepreneurs.
In the silver economy category, products like the BloomCap, using patented PCT technology to stimulate hair follicles, and the At-home Pill Dispenser Kindo, which automates medication dispensing, are featured. The Smart Walking Stick integrates GPS tracking and obstacle detection for elderly safety.
Concurrent electronicAsia features zones for electronic components, keyboards, power supplies, and PCBs. Australian exhibitor Masters & Young is showcasing self-designed printed circuit boards for mining, medical, and automotive sectors.
Various forums and seminars are being held, including the 10th Symposium on Innovation & Technology, co-organized by the HKTDC and the Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association, with the theme “Advancing Innovation Through Collaboration: Robotics Across Land, Sea, and Sky.” Other events include the Hong Kong Electronic Forum on advanced battery technology and the Future Stage: AI x Performing Arts Awards.
The fairs operate under the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, allowing online meetings via the HKTDC Click2Match platform. For more information, visit the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia websites.
