AmeriWell Clinics has appointed Dr. Erin Saunders, DNP, FNP-C, as the new Medical Director for its Baltimore and Clinton, Maryland locations, a move that underscores the organization's commitment to enhancing clinical leadership and patient care in underserved communities. Dr. Saunders, who earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland in 2025, brings a strong background in critical care and a reputation for compassionate, patient-centered care to her new role.
Dr. Saunders holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Towson University and has spent the past seven years working in high-acuity hospital environments, including surgical units, intensive care units (ICU), and pediatric ICUs (PICU). Her experience in managing complex medical situations with calm confidence and a deep commitment to patient well-being has earned her recognition among peers. In her new capacity, she will oversee clinical operations at AmeriWell's Baltimore clinic at 3424 Annapolis Rd. and the Clinton clinic at 9135 Piscataway Rd., Suite 105, providing leadership and supervision to medical teams while continuing to deliver hands-on care.
