Angkor Resources Expands Exploration on CZ Gold and Wild Boar Prospects in Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK) announced on January 15, 2026, that it is initiating further exploration on its CZ Gold prospect and preparing a drill program for the Wild Boar gold prospect, both located on the Andong Meas exploration license in Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia. These developments underscore the company's commitment to advancing its gold assets in the region.

The CZ Gold prospect, situated on the west side of the Canada Wall prospect, features a steep hill with a 47-metre underground incline. Artisanal miners have previously worked the area, and shallow channel samples from these workings have been collected. A creek below the prospect, which has been mined for placer gold over the past rainy season, shows evidence of extensive artisanal activity. Angkor's exploration team plans to conduct a trenching program approximately 80 metres long, running perpendicular to the projected incline. The trenching aims to determine the geology and structure of the stockwork and its wall rocks. Farmers in the area will be compensated for any loss or damage to crops or land use.

Concurrently, Angkor is planning a drill program for the Wild Boar gold prospect, located three kilometres east of the CZ target. Previous trenching and sampling at Wild Boar have identified narrow, northwest-trending, southwest-dipping quartz veins. Artisanal miners have historically mined the upper 1.5 metres of soil in the area. Trenching has revealed abundant quartz vein float atop weathered soil. Assays from this float have returned up to 25.6 g/t gold, expanding the gold anomaly to 1.5 by 1.2 kilometres. The upcoming drill program will test these veins at depth.

These exploration activities are part of Angkor's broader strategy to optimize its mineral assets in Cambodia. The company holds two mineral exploration licenses in the country through its subsidiary, Angkor Gold Corp. In addition to gold, Angkor's Cambodian energy subsidiary, EnerCam Resources Cambodia Co. Ltd., holds an onshore oil and gas license in Block VIII. The company also has oil and gas production operations in Saskatchewan, Canada, through EnerCam Exploration Ltd., with a focus on carbon capture and gas conservation.
