Canada A Legal Paradise: Whistleblower Exposes 15-Year Legal Ordeal in New Book

Julio Benítez, a Paraguayan criminal lawyer and law professor with 25 years of experience, announced the release of his book Canada A Legal Paradise, detailing the harrowing true story of Eduardo García, a Guatemalan-born financial consultant who immigrated to Canada seeking safety but instead became entangled in a 15-year legal battle spanning Paraguay and Canada. The book, available on Kindle, exposes how García uncovered a massive fraud involving Itaipú Binacional, a Brazilian-Paraguayan state-owned energy company and Guinness World Records winner, which has faced numerous allegations of political corruption.

According to the book, García exposed a multi-million-dollar fraud but was himself accused of defrauding the company's pension fund, Cajubi (https://cajubi.org.py/webcajubi/), of over $20 million. A Canadian judge ruled against García based on a conspiracy theory that he made bribe payments to pension fund directors—payments that Benítez asserts never occurred. Despite 15 years of pursuit by Itaipú, the company has failed to imprison García, leading Benítez to argue that their current strategy is to silence him as he continues to expose the truth.

Benítez, who worked for 15 years at Itaipú Binacional, including as a legal consultant, emphasizes that the struggle between García and Itaipú is not a simple David versus Goliath story but a complex confrontation involving multiple adversaries. The book compiles insights from key figures familiar with the case, shedding light on how evidence disappeared, judges overlooked facts, and powerful men protected billions at stake. Benítez holds Supreme Court of Paraguay license number 9067 and resides in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay.

For more information, Eduardo García can be contacted via his LinkedIn profile (https://www.linkedin.com/in/eduardoGarciaobregon/) or Twitter (https://x.com/eg9609). The book reveals a system where justice is not blind but bought, and Canada serves as a legal paradise for corrupt foreign entities.
