AmeriWell Clinics has announced the appointment of Dr. Easton L. Manderson, MD, FACS, as Regional Medical Director, effective immediately. Dr. Manderson, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with more than four decades of experience in orthopedics, trauma, and sports medicine, will oversee the clinical operations of AmeriWell's multidisciplinary healthcare centers in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region.
Dr. Manderson earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic residency at Johns Hopkins University. He became board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1977. Throughout his career, he has been named a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He has also served as Chief of Orthopedics at D.C. General Hospital and as a Clinical Instructor at Howard University. His clinical expertise includes sports injury recovery and rehabilitation, arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery, and treatment of complex trauma, fractures, and spine, shoulder, knee, and ankle conditions. Additionally, he holds multiple patents for orthopedic surgical and fixation systems.
