Escriba Articles Library, a Phoenix-based literary arts internet company, is marking its 10th anniversary in the literary arts this Black History Month. Founded by Liam M. West, the company has published its first science fiction fantasy short story, The Green Locket: Essence of Destiny, available through Amazon Kindle Direct. The story follows a young woman from a distant galaxy on a journey of love, war, and magic.
West, a member of the Ohio Writers' Association, has a long history in writing, starting at the elementary school level. He has participated in author conventions and received awards, including the Occupational Award of Leadership from the state of Georgia. His goal with Escriba Articles Library is to provide literary works that elevate the spirit and develop the soul, offering readers adventures while increasing cerebral capacity.
The company's mission is to craft literary arts that inspire, and its marketing campaign aims to bring more insights to the media industry. West's background includes writing a children's song called "If You're Sick Eat Watermelon" and a book titled Positive Relationships: Be the Best. He emphasizes the importance of role models for children, noting that educational television programs have declined, with Nickelodeon ratings dropping 86% from 2016 to 2023 according to Yahoo Entertainment News.
Looking ahead, West plans to establish an online specialty library bookstore, release 19 children's songs with storylines on digital music platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, and publish 10 self-published books on databases such as Barnes & Noble. The online specialty library bookstore is already accessible via Poshmark.
"I take pride in my work, and definitely humble myself. But I enjoy giving hope to those that need a helping hand," West said. The company's philosophy, as stated, is: "A new thought empowers a change for our future." Escriba Articles Library continues to focus on multi-liberal arts mediums to support children and teenagers worldwide, aiming to influence better outcomes for future generations.
