EverDriven Reports 94% Surge in New Business as Demand for Modern Student Transportation Grows Nationwide

EverDriven, a leader in modern student transportation, announced a 94% year-over-year increase in new business for fiscal year 2025, reflecting a nationwide shift as school districts adopt alternative transportation solutions. The surge underscores a growing commitment to flexible systems that ensure safe and reliable access to education for all students, particularly those with special needs or experiencing housing instability.

A key driver of this growth is the charter school sector, where enrollment continues to climb. According to EverDriven, charter school partnerships increased 31% from fiscal year 2024 to 2025 and 173% over the past two years. This trend aligns with broader educational choice movements, as families seek personalized learning environments and districts respond with transportation models that match that flexibility.

“Districts are facing a perfect storm of challenges,” said EverDriven CEO Mitch Bowling. “From rising numbers of students experiencing housing instability or with special education requirements, to rapid charter school growth and new state regulations—schools are rethinking how they ensure every student’s transportation needs are met.”

Safety remains a cornerstone of EverDriven’s operations. According to the company’s Future of Modern Student Transportation and Safety Report, EverDriven safely transported over 31,000 students across 33 million miles last year, achieving a 99.99% safety record. Since its inception, the company has completed over 12 million trips spanning 180 million miles with 100% compliance with state and federal safety standards. More than 70% of students with disabilities are paired with the same driver throughout the school year, building trust and stability.

EverDriven also proactively complied with California’s Senate Bill 88 (SB88) six months before the July 2025 deadline, integrating enhanced safety protocols, driver training, and vehicle maintenance across its national operations. This approach ensures that all districts benefit from elevated safety standards, not just those in California.

The company now supports more than 800 school districts across 36 states, safely transporting 32,641 students. New districts in California, Ohio, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, and Arizona have come on board, reflecting broad national adoption. Carlos Chicas, Executive Director of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation at Capistrano Unified School District, praised EverDriven’s proactive compliance: “EverDriven took the guesswork out of SB88 compliance. Their expert team ensures drivers, vehicles, and reporting are fully aligned with the new regulations.”

As demand continues to rise, EverDriven is focused on scaling its impact, bringing modern, student-centered transportation to more communities nationwide. With new districts joining weekly, the company is helping shape the future of student transportation, ensuring every student has a safe and reliable way to get to school.
