Four Major Tech Fairs in Hong Kong to Showcase Over 6,200 Exhibitors, Focusing on AI and Smart Lighting

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is staging four major technology fairs this autumn, expected to attract over 6,200 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions. The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia will run concurrently from 13 to 16 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), followed by the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) from 27 to 30 October at the HKCEC, and the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo from 28 to 31 October at AsiaWorld-Expo.

At a press conference, Sophia Chong, Acting Executive Director of the HKTDC, said the fairs closely align with the Chief Executive's Policy Address, which proposed measures to promote AI as a core industry for Hong Kong's future development. The events provide a platform for the industry to showcase innovations, foster collaboration, and leverage Hong Kong to 'go global'.

The Electronics Fair, with the theme 'World's Leading Electronics Marketplace', will feature over 3,200 exhibitors from 20 countries. A special focus is on AI and robotics, with a dedicated 'RoboPark' event space showcasing robots for commercial, rehabilitation, and living applications. Exhibitors include DEEP Robotics, presenting the X30 Quadruped Robodog for inspection and search-and-rescue, and BrainCo, displaying the Revo2 bionic dexterous hand. PaXini Tech will showcase a humanoid robot with advanced tactile sensing and AI vision. New exhibition zones include RISE Avenue, featuring emerging electronic technology brands, and Adventure Hub, highlighting electric vehicle conversions.

The Autumn Lighting Fair and Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, under the theme 'Illuminated Designs for a Smarter Future', will feature some 3,000 exhibitors. The Hall of Connected Lighting brings together 60 top-tier brands, including GRE Alpha, TUYA Smart, Casambi, and Signify, showcasing award-winning designs. Exhibitors like Moorgen will present smart switches developed with renowned designers, while Bweetech displays its MUSE Design Award-winning Fluorite lamp. Notable project showcases include GRE Alpha's LED drivers used at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, and Casambi's lighting control systems applied at the Sanxingdui Museum, the BBC's London headquarters, and M+ Museum in Hong Kong.

The fairs will also host forums and seminars, including the 10th Symposium on Innovation & Technology and the Innovative Lighting Design Forum. The EXHIBITION+ hybrid model will allow online participation via the Click2Match platform. The online editions run from 6 to 23 October for the Electronics Fair and electronicAsia, and from 20 October to 7 November for the Lighting Fair and Outdoor and Tech Light Expo.
