Go Mini's, one of North America's fastest-growing portable storage franchise brands, has announced a partnership with Move For Hunger, a nonprofit that leverages the relocation industry to collect and deliver nonperishable food to those in need. The collaboration aligns with Go Mini's broader mission of community engagement and sustainability, aiming to reduce food waste while addressing food insecurity.
Chris Walls, President and CEO of Go Mini's, explained that the partnership extends the company's local community initiatives to a nationwide scale. "Go Mini's has always encouraged local community engagement, and our partnership with Move For Hunger amplifies that mission by extending our reach from neighborhood initiatives to nationwide impact," Walls said. "Rooted in shared values of sustainability and social responsibility, this collaboration was a natural fit."
The partnership will be rolled out across all Go Mini's markets. Customers can donate at the time of checkout with their Go Mini's rental, and the company will also contribute, enabling over 20,000 meals to be delivered to those in need across its network territories. This initiative leverages the company's expansive franchise network and national presence to collect and distribute food efficiently.
Franchisees play a crucial role in the program's success. They are responsible for educating customers about the partnership and how to contribute monetary donations at checkout, collecting nonperishable food items during the holiday season, and coordinating food pickups and deliveries. Additionally, franchisees are encouraged to organize seasonal food drives to further support their local communities.
While the partnership is still in its early stages, Walls sees potential for expansion. "Although this partnership is still in its early stages, the potential for future expansion is promising. We’re excited to integrate the Move For Hunger initiative into our marketing and operational strategies as a way to deepen community engagement across the country," he said.
The collaboration with Move For Hunger underscores Go Mini's commitment to social responsibility and community support. By harnessing the logistics of the moving industry, the partnership aims to make a tangible impact on food waste and hunger relief. Go Mini's, which has surpassed 100 sold territories under Walls' leadership, continues to modernize its operations and support franchise owners in meeting the rising demand for portable storage solutions.
