Guy Harvey, Inc. has announced a new collaboration with Hedley & Bennett, a Los Angeles-based culinary lifestyle brand, to launch the Guy Harvey x Hedley & Bennett Essential Apron. The apron features artwork by renowned marine artist, scientist, and conservationist Dr. Guy Harvey, incorporating his iconic scribble fish print depicting marlin, sailfish, swordfish, tuna, and mahi. As with all officially licensed Guy Harvey products, a portion of proceeds from sales will benefit ocean conservation and marine science education through the Guy Harvey Foundation.
The apron, priced at $120, is now available online at HedleyandBennett.com and at select retailers. Made from durable 100% cotton chino twill with optic white webbing and a tomato red accent at the ampersand, the apron is designed to withstand both dock duty and dinner service. Alex Harvey, licensing and marketing director for Guy Harvey, Inc., expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that the apron is stylish, durable, and can spark conversations about ocean conservation.
Ellen Marie Bennett, founder and chief brand officer of Hedley & Bennett, highlighted the craftsmanship behind the apron, noting that it takes 13 pairs of hands to create each one. She drew parallels between the meticulous attention to detail in both her brand's products and Dr. Harvey's artwork, which reflects decades of study and reverence for the ocean. The collaboration aims to bring the spirit of the open water into the kitchen while supporting marine conservation.
Dr. Guy Harvey has built a lifestyle brand centered on his authentic marine wildlife art, with the purpose of emphasizing sustainable marine initiatives and education. His artwork reflects his experiences and tells stories about the marine life he portrays. The Guy Harvey Foundation funds scientific research and develops educational programs to inspire future ocean stewards.
