HeartBeam Partners with HeartNexus to Expand Remote Cardiac Diagnostics

HeartBeam Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAT), a medical-technology company developing next-generation cardiac diagnostics via its patented 12-Lead ECG synthesis software, has announced a strategic collaboration with HeartNexus. The partnership will expand access to cardiologist-level ECG insights for arrhythmia assessment anytime, anywhere, according to a press release.

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of mortality worldwide, responsible for an estimated 17.9 million deaths annually, according to the World Health Organization (https://ibn.fm/oQxTL). ECGs are the most common cardiac test, yet standard ECG testing often requires in-clinic visits, specialized equipment, and scheduling delays. The HeartBeam System enables a patient to capture a 30-second ECG recording with its credit-card-sized, cable-free device, regardless of where they are.

The HeartBeam-HeartNexus collaboration makes board-certified cardiologists available 24/7 to interpret the results for arrhythmia assessment and provide expert feedback directly to the patient or to a coordinating clinician. This integration aims to bridge the gap between remote monitoring and clinical expertise, potentially reducing the time to diagnosis and treatment for arrhythmias that could lead to stroke or heart failure.

HeartBeam’s technology uses a portable, non-invasive recorder intended to record, store, and transfer a patient’s 3-lead ECG acquired from 5 electrodes. The device is intended for use by adult patients in clinical settings or at home. Importantly, the device does not conduct cardiac analysis but can be used with an ECG Viewer software system for manual interpretation of non-life-threatening arrhythmias by a physician or healthcare professional. The partnership with HeartNexus adds a layer of expert analysis that can be accessed remotely.

The collaboration is particularly significant given that many patients with intermittent symptoms struggle to capture arrhythmias during a standard in-office ECG. With HeartBeam’s portable device, patients can record ECGs at the moment symptoms occur and have the data reviewed promptly by a cardiologist through HeartNexus. This model has the potential to improve patient outcomes by enabling earlier detection and management of cardiac arrhythmias.

HeartBeam’s stock trades on the NASDAQ under the ticker BEAT. The latest news and updates relating to BEAT are available in the company’s newsroom at https://ibn.fm/BEAT.
