Kairos Pharma Reports Positive Interim Phase 2 Data for ENV105 in Prostate Cancer

Kairos Pharma Ltd. (NYSE American: KAPA), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on cancer therapeutics, has reported positive interim efficacy data from its ongoing Phase 2 trial of ENV105 (carotuximab) in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The data, announced today, show that the combination of ENV105 and apalutamide achieved a median progression-free survival (PFS) of more than 13 months among eight evaluable patients, with five patients still on treatment. Additionally, seven of nine patients demonstrated declines in prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels.

The results exceeded the trial's target of a 45% improvement in PFS compared with the standard 3.7 months typically observed with second- or third-line hormone therapy. The treatment was well tolerated, with no dose-limiting toxicities reported. These findings suggest that ENV105 may help overcome resistance to standard therapies in this patient population.

ENV105 is an antibody that targets CD105, a protein identified as a key driver of resistance to various cancer treatments. According to Kairos, elevation of CD105 in response to standard therapy can lead to resistance and disease relapse. By targeting CD105, ENV105 aims to reverse drug resistance and restore the effectiveness of standard therapies across multiple cancer types. Currently, ENV105 is being evaluated in a Phase 2 trial for castrate-resistant prostate cancer and a Phase 1 trial for lung cancer.

Kairos Pharma is hosting a key opinion leader (KOL) webcast today at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT to review the findings with clinical experts. The company is based in Los Angeles, California, and focuses on leveraging structural biology to overcome drug resistance and immune suppression in cancer.
