Nicola Mining Expands Gravel Pit Operations and Completes Cement Ready Mix Plant

Nicola Mining Inc. (TSXV: NIM) (FSE: HLIA) (OTCQB: HUSIF), together with partner Lower Nicola Site Services Ltd., announced the long-term expansion of its wholly owned gravel pit (Permit G1519) and the completion of construction of its cement ready mix plant. The company has secured two significant permits: a Notice of Departure at the New Craigmont Project allowing extraction of up to 3.0 million tonnes of inert rock material at approximately 1,500 tonnes per day, and an extension of its gravel pit mine life alongside a provincial highway permit received Sept. 5, 2025.

This development marks a strategic diversification for Nicola Mining, which traditionally focuses on gold and silver milling and copper exploration. By expanding into construction materials, the company taps into a stable demand driven by infrastructure projects. The cement ready mix plant will produce concrete for local construction, reducing reliance on volatile metal prices.

The permits enable Nicola to extract inert rock from the New Craigmont Project, a high-grade copper property covering 10,913 hectares adjacent to Highland Valley Copper, Canada’s largest copper mine. This material can be used as aggregate or feed for the cement plant. The gravel pit expansion extends the mine life, providing a long-term source of revenue.

Nicola Mining’s fully permitted mill, located near Merritt, British Columbia, can process gold and silver via gravity and flotation. The company also holds the Treasure Mountain Property with over 2,200 hectares. However, the new operations diversify its asset base into construction materials, which may attract investors seeking exposure to infrastructure growth.

The partnership with Lower Nicola Site Services Ltd., a local firm, emphasizes community engagement and operational efficiency. The cement plant construction completion signals readiness to commence production, with the potential to supply the growing demand in British Columbia’s construction sector.
