RapidFire Safety & Security Appoints Ken Obermeyer as CFO to Drive Growth

RapidFire Safety & Security (“RapidFire”), a provider of commercial fire, life safety, and electronic security services, announced the appointment of Ken Obermeyer as its new Chief Financial Officer. Obermeyer brings more than 32 years of CFO experience in the security and life safety industry, having previously served as CFO of Interface Security Systems for 27 years and as VP of Finance at Centennial Security Systems. His appointment supports RapidFire’s ambitious growth strategy and enhances its capabilities to support expanding branch operations.

Mike McLeod, CEO and Founder of RapidFire, expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with Obermeyer, with whom he previously worked on a successful growth strategy involving more than 40 acquisitions. “This is a big deal for us, and the fact that Ken chose to join our team speaks volumes about our vision and the team we’re building here,” McLeod said. Adam Lucas of Concentric Equity Partners, RapidFire’s investment partner, added that Obermeyer’s decades of experience in building fire and life safety businesses will be invaluable as RapidFire continues to execute its strategic growth plans.

Obermeyer’s background includes strategic financial leadership at Interface Security Systems from 1998 to 2025, where he contributed to the company’s growth as a leading security and life safety firm. He also served as Controller of the Ohio-based security business that became the platform for Centennial Security Systems. His expertise is expected to strengthen RapidFire’s financial operations and support its multi-regional “Buy & Build” strategy, which focuses on acquiring and integrating companies across the Midwest, Southwest, and Western United States.

RapidFire, founded by Mike McLeod and co-founded by Colin Harrold, partners with Concentric Equity Partners to drive its growth. The company seeks entrepreneurs and owners in the fire, life safety, and security industries who want to extend their legacy with a people-focused approach.
