Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, recently concluded its 3rd Special Lecture on Revelation Open to All Nations, held from October 30 in Cheongju, South Korea. The event, themed "The Path of Understanding Led by the Bible, the Path of Peace Walked Together by Religions," brought together over 1,000 attendees, including 440 religious leaders from 59 countries, making it the largest gathering in the series to date.
The special lecture series, which began in February 2024, has grown rapidly as a platform for interfaith dialogue and peace. The first lecture attracted about 80 leaders from 10 denominations across 28 countries, while the second lecture later that year included around 270 religious leaders from 57 countries. The third iteration saw a significant increase in participation, reflecting a rising global interest in Shincheonji's approach to biblical prophecy and interreligious understanding.
Participants engaged in three nights and four days of praise, prayer, and discussions centered on the prophecies and fulfillment recorded in the Book of Revelation. Religious leaders from various faiths expressed appreciation for the program. Venerable Yulyeoseongwon, head of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, noted, "I think the reason Shincheonji is reviving and developing further is the 'power of the Word.' It was a time to confirm that this Word is the path to unity for humanity, transcending religious barriers."
Islamic leader Mohammed Usman from Eswatini praised the curriculum, stating, "Shincheonji Church's curriculum that conveys peace and truth is perfect," and emphasized the importance of achieving peace that all humanity hopes for.
A notable feature of the event was an examination on the Book of Revelation, in which 317 religious leaders participated. Of these, 154 achieved perfect scores. Additionally, 125 participants — 42 from Korea and 83 from abroad — who successfully completed seven weeks of lectures and examinations were appointed as honorary Bible instructors.
The growing scale and participation of the special lectures underscore Shincheonji Church's expanding influence in fostering interfaith dialogue through shared study of biblical texts. As religious leaders from diverse backgrounds engage with Shincheonji's teachings, the initiative represents a unique effort to build bridges between faiths around a common scriptural foundation.
