Stradley Ronon has expanded its employment practice with the addition of Kaitlyn Grajek as a partner in the firm’s Newark and New York offices. Grajek arrives from Freeman Mathis & Gary, where she served as a leader of the Northeast Employment practice team. Her practice focuses on providing strategic guidance to clients on complex employment law issues and defending employers in a broad range of cases in courts and administrative proceedings.
Grajek regularly represents employers across multiple industries in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, medical leave claims, wage and hour claims, whistleblower actions, and professional liability. She is well-versed in handling restrictive covenant disputes, including the enforcement and defense of non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements. In her practice, she also assists clients with the drafting and review of non-compete and related agreements, and counsels employers on workplace best practices, including policies, compliance and risk mitigation.
“Kaitlyn combines proactive counseling and vigorous defense to guide employers through complex workplace challenges,” said Melanie Ronen, partner and chair of the firm’s employment practice. “Kaitlyn will be a key member of our bi-coastal practice in supporting our clients’ employment-related legal needs.”
Grajek’s addition underscores Stradley Ronon’s commitment to strengthening its national employment practice. The firm, which counsels clients since 1926, helps private and public companies—from small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations—achieve their goals by providing pragmatic, value-driven legal counsel. With offices coast to coast, the firm’s lawyers address a full spectrum of client needs, ranging from sophisticated corporate transactions to complex commercial litigation.
“I’m thrilled to join Stradley Ronon’s national platform and collaborate with such a talented team,” Grajek said. “Guiding clients through high-stakes matters and earning their trust is incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth and success.”
The move is significant as it bolsters Stradley Ronon’s capabilities in employment law, a critical area for businesses navigating evolving regulations and workplace challenges. Grajek’s experience in restrictive covenants is particularly timely given the Federal Trade Commission’s recent rule banning most non-compete agreements, which is currently facing legal challenges. Her expertise will help clients adapt to the changing legal landscape. For more information about Stradley Ronon’s employment practice, visit Stradley Ronon.
