Board Collie Games, a studio specializing in strategic board games, has officially launched its survival strategy board game "Survive Nuclear Apocalypse!" on the global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. The game, designed for 2–4 players, centers on the premise that not everyone can survive, forcing players to make critical decisions about alliances, resource management, and betrayal within a 30-minute playtime.
The game features 160 cards including Event, Item, Supply, and Radiation cards, along with three types of custom dice: Standard, Lucky, and Exhausted. Each round, players roll dice to complete missions, trade resources, or forge alliances. Those who run out of food and water must rely on the risk-laden Exhausted Die, while accumulating five Radiation cards leads to immediate elimination. The game's rules are presented on a single sheet, allowing beginners to learn in under five minutes.
The Kickstarter campaign includes stretch goals that unlock special item cards and scenarios based on backer participation. The game is available for backing on the Kickstarter homepage starting October 28, 2025, with special perks for launch day supporters.
A representative from Board Collie Games stated that the campaign aims to directly engage with a global audience and lay the foundation for market entry. The studio plans to collaborate with U.S.-based board game YouTubers, reviewers, and communities to develop follow-up products and theme-based series.
