T.D. Jakes Foundation Launches Life Forum 2025 to Boost Financial Literacy Among Young Adults

The T.D. Jakes Foundation announced the launch of Life Forum 2025, a free virtual event series starting in September and culminating on October 4, designed to address the growing financial literacy gap among young adults. With 36 states now requiring personal finance courses for graduation, up from 21 in 2020, according to The Washington Post, many still lack the knowledge to manage debt, build wealth, or plan for the future. The forum, themed 'Leveraging Income for Financial Empowerment,' aligns with the Foundation's core pillar of Financial Inclusion and is presented in partnership with Wells Fargo and Paul Quinn College.

Participants will access expert-led sessions covering budgeting, credit, entrepreneurship, investing, and generational wealth. 'Financial literacy is about more than numbers, it is about access, confidence, and opportunity,' said Kelley Cornish, President and CEO of the T.D. Jakes Foundation. 'Through Life Forum 2025, we are bringing together some of the most powerful voices in financial education to show young adults that they have the tools and the talent to take control of their futures and build lasting wealth.'

Notable speakers include Wallo267, who alongside Chairman T.D. Jakes will discuss turning struggle into opportunity; Milan Griffin, EVP of HomeFree-USA, on generational wealth through real estate; Tiffany 'The Budgetnista' Aliche, NYT bestselling author, on intentional budgeting; Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings, founders of Earn Your Leisure and InvestFest, on leveraging online platforms for income; Teri Ijeoma of Trade and Travel, on practical trading strategies; and Egypt Sherrod on safeguarding and transferring assets.

'LIFE is more than a program. It is a chance to discover how every dollar you earn can become a tool for freedom,' said Tozyea Reed, Vice President of Programming and Outcomes at the T.D. Jakes Foundation. 'When people learn how to leverage their money, they do not just manage it. They multiply opportunities for themselves and their communities.'

The event is free and open to the public, with registration available at https://life.vfairs.com/. All sessions will be available on-demand after October 4, ensuring lasting access to financial guidance. For more information about the Foundation, visit https://tdjfoundation.org/.
