UGI Utilities, Inc. is scheduled to begin a natural gas main replacement project on Thursday, October 2 in Manheim, Lancaster County. The system upgrades are part of UGI’s commitment to provide safe and reliable service. The work also presents an opportunity for some homes and businesses along the project route to convert to natural gas.
Underground work will occur on North Grant Street between West Colebrook Street and West High Street; West Gramby Street between North Grant Street and North Clay Street; North Clay Street between West Colebrook Street and West Gramby Street; and West Chestnut Street between North Graham Alley and North Grant Street.
Construction is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Drivers, residents, and business owners may experience road closures, detours, and parking restrictions. There will be some interruptions to natural gas service, requiring UGI to access properties to inspect and relight equipment.
