UGI Gas Main Replacement Project to Start in South Whitehall Township

UGI Utilities, Inc. is scheduled to begin a natural gas main replacement project on Wednesday, October 22 in South Whitehall Township. The system upgrades are part of UGI's commitment to provide safe and reliable service, as announced in a press release on October 20, 2025.

Underground work will occur on Hausman Road between Southgate Court and Tilghman Street, and at the intersection of Tilghman Street and Hausman Road. Construction is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with lane restrictions expected. Some interruptions to natural gas service will occur, requiring UGI to access properties to inspect and relight equipment.

The installation of the new natural gas main is expected to be completed by mid-November. Temporary restoration of the area will follow immediately, with final paving at a later date. Residents and commuters should anticipate delays and plan alternate routes during construction hours.

UGI Utilities, Inc. is a natural gas and electric utility company serving more than 760,000 customers. Additional information is available at www.ugi.com.
