A woman who was secretly filmed while undressed during medical treatments at a Batavia chiropractic clinic has retained Dixon Law Office to pursue legal action. Dr. David Hanson, owner of Hanson Family Chiropractic, faces multiple felony charges after authorities discovered over 180 hidden-camera recordings of patients—many nude, including minors—made without consent. Prosecutors allege the recordings were made in treatment rooms, with the Kane County State's Attorney characterizing the case as "one of the most egregious violations of patient privacy" they have ever encountered.
G. Grant Dixon III, founder of Dixon Law Office, stated: "This was sexual exploitation under the guise of medicine. My client came to this clinic for healing. Instead, she was secretly violated in one of the most intimate and vulnerable moments a patient can have." He added that any of the thousands of patients who visited Hanson Family Chiropractic may have been filmed without their knowledge.
The client, a longtime patient, had undergone multiple red-light therapy sessions. During these sessions, patients disrobe in a private room where red lights are used to promote healing. Unbeknownst to her, hidden cameras captured her while she was undressed. She learned of the recordings through news reports of the criminal charges.
"Our client is devastated to learn of this shocking invasion of her privacy," Dixon said. "We intend to make this right for our client. We will hold Dr. Hanson fully accountable for the trauma he caused and the trust he destroyed."
