XMax Inc. (NASDAQ: XWIN), originally a furniture designer and maker of health improvement products, has rapidly transformed into an artificial intelligence platform company, reporting $4.8 million in contracted revenue from a new API deal and targeting over $30 million in AI-related revenue within the next six to twelve months. The company's strategic pivot has attracted attention from Wall Street firm Equity Research, which initiated coverage with a buy rating, calling XMax "one of the most compelling small-cap AI platform stories in the current public market."
The cornerstone of XMax's AI push is a one-year, $4.8 million API agreement signed in early May, giving a customer access to its AI models for roughly $400,000 per month. The contract may be extended beyond 12 months, and XMax AI, the company's new unit, is in talks with three other potential customers, paving the way to achieve the $30 million revenue forecast. Equity Research highlighted the "usage-based billing with intelligent routing" as strategically significant, noting that it creates a scalable business model with improving gross margins as volume grows. The AI platform, deployed in April with Cloud Alliance Inc. as technical partner, is fully operational on AWS infrastructure.
XMax has also launched aimax.com, a consumer-facing AI portal, and ai.xmax.com, an enterprise platform. Equity Research noted that these websites provide a public entry point to its AI commercialization and project a unified technology-first narrative, potentially aiding in XMax's classification as an operating technology company for index inclusion. The firm sees a "credible path" for XMax to join the Russell 2000 in June 2026, which could trigger mandatory buying from institutional funds.
Beyond AI, XMax has invested $33.6 million cumulatively in funds holding direct exposure to SpaceX shares and xAI Series B Preferred Stock, including a $5.6 million stake in Preamble X Capital I. This investment comes just ahead of SpaceX's anticipated IPO in June 2026, projected to be valued at $1.75 trillion. Equity Research stated that the unrealized appreciation on these investments "is poised to become one of the most consequential value events in the company's history."
XMax also has a $1 billion universal shelf registration on file with the SEC, providing firepower for infrastructure expansion, acquisitions, and AI deployment. Despite headwinds in the furniture market, XMax's legacy distribution business reported a 12% year-over-year revenue increase in its most recent third quarter, with 2025 net sales up 73% to $16.7 million and average selling prices rising 102%.
With a multi-million dollar recurring revenue stream, strategic stakes in a major IPO, and a substantial war chest, XMax is rapidly evolving from a furniture company to a diversified AI platform. The company's ability to secure revenue and attract analyst optimism underscores the momentum of its transformation.
