The 35th Education & Careers Expo, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will take place from January 22 to 25 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event is free and open to the public, featuring over 860 organizations from 23 countries and regions, including government bureaux, tertiary institutions, and education centers. The expo is divided into "Education" and "Careers" sections to provide comprehensive information on further studies and job opportunities.
A key highlight is the upgraded "CV Clinic," which now offers six services, including one-to-one CV consultations, professional portrait photography by Jobsdb, and an Aptitude Test Ready Station by MT20 Consulting Limited. New additions include Personal Colour Analysis by clincolour and the 2026 edition of the "16 Personality Types Magic Quiz" presented by CTgoodjobs. These services aim to help job seekers understand their strengths and plan career paths with clarity. Pre-registration is available on the Education & Careers Expo website, with limited quotas on a first-come, first-served basis.
Smilely Lam, Assistant Executive Director of the HKTDC, stated: "With the theme ‘Go with Your Passion, Go Beyond Limits,’ this year’s Expo spans four days and focuses on key areas including Civil Servants & Public Services, Next Gen Technologies, Healthcare & Wellness, and Greater Bay Area Opportunities - to better align with social development and evolving market needs." The expo will host over 100 activities, including seminars featuring industry experts and speakers such as singer-songwriter Serrini and film directors like Ho Cheuk-tin and Sunny Chan.
To promote Hong Kong as an education hub, the expo includes a seminar "A Date with Giants" with representatives from J.P. Morgan and Lenovo, and sessions where "Hong Kong Drifters" share experiences from education to employment. The "Education" section features four zones: Local Studies, Non-Hong Kong Education, Lifelong Learning, and Youth Zone. Highlights include the SOPHIE 8x solar car model by the Vocational Training Council and an AI Tower Crane Simulator by the Hong Kong Institute of Construction. The Non-Hong Kong Education zone offers study abroad advisory services covering Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Belt and Road countries.
The "Careers" section includes over 30 government departments and public organizations, such as the Airport Authority and the Judiciary. The "Recruitment Square" allows employers to conduct onsite interviews. Themed days cover civil service (Jan 22), next gen technologies (Jan 23), healthcare & wellness (Jan 24), and Greater Bay Area opportunities (Jan 25), with star speakers including Angela Stanton, first runner-up at Miss Hong Kong 2025, and radio DJ "Ah Jeng."
