A Place At Home – North Austin, a home care agency, partnered with the ShareTheWill Foundation and its founder Will Williams last Sunday to donate a power scooter to a local veteran and a power wheelchair to a community member in need. The event, held in Round Rock, Texas, underscores the organizations' ongoing commitment to improving mobility and independence for Central Texans.
Stacey Eisenberg, owner of A Place At Home – North Austin, initiated the collaboration after a favorite medical lending library in the Austin and Round Rock area closed last year. Since then, her team has worked with ShareTheWill Foundation to collect and donate more than 34 power wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, and other essential medical equipment to veterans and individuals across the community. "Compassion and service are at the heart of everything we do," Eisenberg said. "When we see a need, we act. It is a whole family priority for us. Our kids are instrumental in the process. Working with Will and ShareTheWill has allowed us to reach even more people who deserve comfort, dignity, and mobility."
Will Williams, a 26-year Army Ranger veteran and founder of the ShareTheWill Foundation, emphasized the inclusive nature of their efforts. "Obviously we share a lot with veterans and the veteran community that means so much to us, but we’ll help anyone in the community who we can and is in need," he said. The foundation, which sponsors more than 3,500 Thanksgiving meals and supports 4,000 families during Christmas, also partners with programs such as Honor Flight Austin, Fields of Honor, and Stranger Danger classes.
The event celebrated generosity and community partnerships. A Place At Home – North Austin provides compassionate in-home care, senior living alternatives, and family support services throughout Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Hutto, Pflugerville, and surrounding communities. The caregiving team is also credentialed through the VA to provide quality care services for veterans. The collaboration with ShareTheWill Foundation continues to turn compassion into action, one donation at a time.
