Accelleron Names Ravin Pillay-Ramsamy to Lead Service Division

Accelleron, a global technology leader in turbocharging and fuel injection for heavy-duty applications, has announced the appointment of Ravin Pillay-Ramsamy as President of its Service Division and a member of the Executive Committee, effective October 1, 2026. Based in Baden, Switzerland, Pillay-Ramsamy will succeed Roland Schwarz, who has been appointed CEO of OMT, an Accelleron company specializing in fuel injection. The transition comes as Klaus Heim, the current CEO of OMT, prepares to retire at the end of September 2026.

Daniel Bischofberger, CEO of Accelleron, expressed enthusiasm about the new appointment. “We are very pleased to welcome Ravin to Accelleron,” he said. “He brings extensive international leadership experience in industrial services, engineering, business development and M&A, combined with deep expertise in power generation, oil and gas, and industrial infrastructure. His proven track record in leading global service organizations will be highly valuable as we continue to strengthen our service business and create value for our customers worldwide.”

Pillay-Ramsamy joins Accelleron from Sulzer, where he currently serves as Division President Services and is a member of the Executive Committee. During his tenure at Sulzer, he held several senior leadership positions within the Services division across EMEA and Asia Pacific. His career began in the United States at Turbine Services Ltd., where he served as Business Development Director and Vice President Engineering. He holds a Global MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School, a Master’s degree in Management and Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University.

This executive change underscores Accelleron’s commitment to enhancing its service business, a critical component of its strategy to support the energy transition. The company, which has over 100 years of heritage, serves customers in more than 100 locations across over 50 countries, with more than 3,200 employees. By appointing a leader with deep expertise in industrial services and a proven record in global service organizations, Accelleron aims to further innovate and deliver mission-critical solutions for the marine and energy industries.

The appointment also highlights the company’s focus on internal talent development and succession planning. Roland Schwarz’s move to OMT as CEO reflects Accelleron’s effort to leverage its leadership expertise across its subsidiaries. OMT, which specializes in fuel injection systems, is pivotal in the company’s product portfolio. Klaus Heim’s retirement marks the end of an era, but the seamless transition ensures continuity in OMT’s leadership.

As the marine and energy industries increasingly prioritize sustainability and efficiency, Accelleron’s service division plays a crucial role in helping customers optimize their operations and reduce emissions. Pillay-Ramsamy’s experience in power generation, oil and gas, and industrial infrastructure will be instrumental in driving growth and innovation in this area. His leadership will be key to maintaining Accelleron’s reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.
