Financial educator and entrepreneur Nettie Reeves is launching the Pretty Broke Movement, a national initiative aimed at helping one million women transition from financial uncertainty to financial confidence. The movement is inspired by her chapter, "Pretty Broke: The Price Women Pay To Fit In," in the Amazon #1 best-selling book Financial Trendsetters 4. Reeves, CEO of In Shape Financial Solutions, highlights a hidden financial crisis where women often prioritize investments in appearance and care for others over building wealth and securing their financial future.
"Pretty Broke isn't about criticizing women or how they choose to spend their money," said Reeves. "It's about helping women realize they deserve to invest in their financial future with the same confidence they invest in every other part of their lives." The movement encourages women to rewrite their financial stories, acknowledging that many inherited barriers they did not create. For generations, women received little education about wealth building, protecting their future, or creating a lasting legacy.
Reeves has a track record of helping people transform their lives through health, wellness, and personal growth, earning the Steve Harvey Community Award and recognition during the Obama Administration. She now champions the belief that being financially in shape is as important as being physically in shape. The Pretty Broke Movement does not ask women to choose between looking their best and securing their future; it reminds them they deserve both.
To mark the launch, an exclusive, invitation-only Pretty Broke Experience will be held on Saturday, August 22, at 2:00 p.m. Women, community leaders, business professionals, and advocates for financial empowerment interested in attending are encouraged to contact In Shape Financial Solutions to request an invitation. As Reeves emphasizes, every conversation about money has the power to change a family's future, and every financially empowered woman can change generations.
