Angkor Resources Launches Diamond Drill Program at Andong Bor Copper-Gold Target in Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK) has announced the start of a diamond drilling program totaling 2,800 meters at the Andong Bor copper-gold target in Cambodia. The program targets the Thmei North (TN) anomaly, a one-square-kilometer copper zone. The company plans to drill three initial holes of 400 meters each starting June 24, 2026, during the current dry season, with the remaining 1,600 meters scheduled for early 2027 after the harvest season.

The drilling orientation has been adjusted based on results from the 2025 campaign. The company will drill to the east to intersect mineralized beds perpendicularly, as the main structures controlling mineralization strike north-northwest and dip steeply to the west. By drilling eastward, Angkor aims to maximize interception of potassic-altered sediments adjacent to feldspar porphyry diorite dikes, which host the best copper mineralization.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, stated: “Our 2025 drilling told us how this system is oriented. The structures controlling mineralization are north-northwest striking and steeply west dipping, so by drilling to the east we put the core across the mineralized beds rather than down them. The best copper sits in the potassic-altered sediments next to the feldspar porphyry diorite dikes, and an eastward orientation lets us cut the most of that favorable host as we pass in and out of the intrusive dikes.”

The Andong Bor license covers 100.28 square kilometers across Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces. Core from the drilling will be logged, photographed, and sampled, with selected intervals sent for assay as the program progresses.

In addition to Thmei North, the company is planning further work at Thmei South, which requires additional auger soil geochemistry to extend the copper anomaly southward and determine its full extent. Thmei South will be the focus of subsequent drill programs.

Angkor Resources is a TSX Venture Exchange-listed company focused on mineral and energy exploration in Cambodia. Its mineral subsidiary, Angkor Gold Corp. Co., Ltd., holds two mineral exploration licenses in the country, while its energy subsidiary, EnerCam Resources Co., Ltd., holds an onshore oil and gas license covering approximately 4,095 km² in Block VIII. EnerCam recently completed 2D seismic in 2025 and has submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment for drilling targets.
