Centenario Gold Corp. Initiates Work Program at Los Reyes Copper-Gold Project in Chihuahua, Mexico

Centenario Gold Corp. (TSXV: CTG) announced today that it has initiated the first phase of a work program at the Los Reyes Project, a copper and gold exploration asset located near Chihuahua, Mexico. The initial phase includes detailed mapping and sampling of old underground mine workings along a north-south trending contact zone extending for one kilometer. The underground workings date back to the early 1900s and have never been systematically sampled, according to the company.

Following this initial program, Centenario plans to begin a second phase consisting of a 1,500-meter diamond drilling program designed to test depth extensions beyond 100 meters of a high-grade copper-zinc-silver skarn zone previously mined by ASARCO, a large historic U.S. mining company. The company has submitted an environmental study report and expects to receive permits by late April 2026, with drilling to commence immediately thereafter.

“We are excited to commence work at Los Reyes, which hosts significant historical mining and high-grade mineralization,” stated Doug Fulcher, President and CEO of Centenario. “This systematic exploration program will help us unlock the project’s potential.”

The Los Reyes property is a copper-zinc-gold skarn (carbonate replacement deposit) project located approximately 170 kilometers south-southeast of Chihuahua City, along Highway 49. The property covers an area of historical mining centered on the western contact of a large two-kilometer-diameter granodiorite intrusive body. Mining activities date back to the early 1700s, and in the late 1800s, ASARCO mined approximately 200,000 tons of high-grade copper-zinc-silver material from the Jibosa mine working.

The most recent exploration work was completed by Valterra Resource Corporation in 2019, focusing on an 800-meter north-south strike along the intrusive-carbonaceous sediments contact covering the copper-gold skarn zone. Surface sampling from waste dumps and outcrop chip samples reported an average copper grade of 3.1%, with 22 of 28 samples greater than 1% copper. Anomalous samples also contained elevated precious and base metal values, reaching up to 0.57 g/t gold, 25.3 g/t silver, 0.47% molybdenum, and 1.7% zinc.

Derrick Strickland, an independent Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical disclosure in this release. The qualified person has not verified information on adjacent properties, and mineralization on adjacent properties is not necessarily indicative of mineralization on the Los Reyes property.

Centenario Gold Corp. is a mineral exploration company focused on high-potential projects in the Americas, with an emphasis on gold, copper, and silver. The company is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and continues to evaluate new opportunities in Mexico and Canada.
