Cirque du Soleil's LUZIA to Debut in South Florida in 2026, Marking a Major Cultural Event

Cirque du Soleil will bring its visually stunning production LUZIA to South Florida, performing under the Big Top at 1/ST's Gulfstream Park from February 19 through April 25, 2026. The announcement, made today, marks the return of the renowned entertainment company to the region with a show that has been described by The New York Times as "Cirque du Soleil at its peak." LUZIA, a waking dream of Mexico, invites audiences into an imaginary world suspended between dreams and reality, featuring a series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances.

The production, written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca in association with Brigitte Poupart, takes its name from the Spanish words for light ("luz") and rain ("lluvia"), reflecting its central themes. For the first time in a Cirque du Soleil touring production, rain is incorporated into acrobatic and artistic scenes. Artists perform on Cyr wheels and trapezes under pouring showers, while hoop diving is executed on gigantic treadmills, expanding the speed and daring of leaps. Other highlights include a male contortionist, an aerial straps specialist performing above a cenote, a juggler tossing seven pins, and two football freestylers blending street dance with ball manipulation.

Fans can join the waitlist via Fever starting today to receive exclusive access to pre-sales. The pre-sale will take place on October 1 for one day only, giving waitlist members the opportunity to secure the best seats before the general public. Tickets for the general public will be available beginning October 2. For more information, visit www.cirquedusoleil.com/LUZIA. A preview video of LUZIA can be viewed at www.cirk.me/LUZIA_Preview.

This engagement is particularly significant for South Florida, where Cirque du Soleil maintains a year-round presence with its show Drawn to Life at Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista, near Orlando. LUZIA's arrival at Gulfstream Park, home of the Pegasus World Cup, underscores the venue's role as a hub for major entertainment events. The Stronach Group's 1/ST brand, which operates Gulfstream Park, is North America's preeminent Thoroughbred racing and pari-mutuel wagering company, and the partnership with Cirque du Soleil highlights its expansion into live entertainment experiences.
