Hispanic Target Magazine has featured Claudia Serrer, Trade Commissioner of ProChile in Miami, on its latest cover, recognizing her pivotal role in orchestrating the Chile Tech Tour 2025. The event, scheduled from October 6 to 10 in Miami, will host 17 Chilean startups—the largest delegation from Latin America this year—showcasing innovations in FinTech, HealthTech, and EdTech. This initiative underscores Miami's emergence as a gateway for Chilean entrepreneurship into the U.S. market.
"Miami has become a natural meeting point for Latin talent, offering not only geographic proximity but also a multicultural environment that facilitates the integration of our startups," Serrer stated, emphasizing the city's strategic advantages. The program includes business roundtables, meetings with investors and accelerators, and visits to tech incubators, designed to forge connections between Chilean innovation and Miami's thriving tech ecosystem.
The growth of the Chile Tech Tour reflects increasing interest in the U.S. market. "We started with a prospecting visit, then five companies participated, and this year we reached 17. This confirms that Miami is the strategic entry and development point for Chilean entrepreneurship and innovation," Serrer added, noting the steady expansion.
While other hubs like New York, San Francisco, and Austin remain important, Serrer highlighted Miami's unique appeal as a starting point. "Each state has its own characteristics. Miami is perfect to begin with, as it connects with Latin America and Europe while offering an open and expanding ecosystem. From here, many companies can later scale into more specialized markets such as California or Texas," she explained. This phased approach allows startups to test the waters in a familiar environment before expanding further.
For entrepreneurs hesitant about entering the U.S., Serrer offered encouragement: "The invitation is to leverage all the networks and tools available in Miami. The U.S. is a competitive but opportunity-rich market. What matters most is exploring responsibly and daring to take the first step." Her message aims to demystify the entry process and inspire action.
The Chile Tech Tour 2025 reinforces Chile's commitment to innovation and internationalization, with Serrer serving as a key connector between Santiago and Miami. By positioning Chilean startups on the global stage, the initiative not only benefits the participating companies but also strengthens bilateral economic ties. As the largest Latin American delegation this year, these 17 startups represent a significant push into the U.S. market, leveraging Miami's unique position as a multicultural hub.
