Critical Infrastructure Technologies Ltd. (CSE: CTTT) (OTC: CITLF) (FRA: X9V) announced the execution of a Confidentiality Agreement with DroneShield Limited to integrate Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) capabilities into the Nexus 20 platform, as requested by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. This agreement follows a previously announced Memorandum of Understanding with Babcock International and NDAs with Nokia Solutions and Networks Oy and Ericsson Limited for 4G/5G telecommunications integration.
The Nexus 20 program, which includes 50 platforms for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, aims to deliver a fully integrated defence system combining secure communications, defence expertise, and counter-UAS technology. DroneShield’s global expertise in counter-drone solutions will enhance the platform’s protection against aerial threats in operational environments. Brenton Scott, CEO of CiTech, stated, “This agreement with DroneShield marks another critical step forward in delivering a fully integrated defence capability to meet the operational needs of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.”
The collaboration positions the Nexus 20 as a unique platform globally, integrating technologies from multiple partners. The C-UAS system design can now proceed alongside ongoing telecommunications integration. CiTech, based in Perth, Australia, develops autonomous, rapidly deployable communications platforms for sectors including mining, defence, and emergency services. The company’s self-deploying platform supports LTE and other payloads like surveillance and anti-drone systems.
