DATAGROUP has been awarded the contract for Dataport AoR's User Help Desk following a public bidding process, the company announced today. Dataport, one of Germany's leading IT service providers for public administration, supports federal states and municipalities in digitizing administrative services. The contract, valued in the double-digit millions, runs for five years and marks a significant expansion of DATAGROUP's public sector footprint.
Under the agreement, DATAGROUP will manage first-level support for Dataport's User Help Desk, handling up to 30,000 calls and 25,000 tickets per month. The services will support users in government agencies, administrative bodies, and public institutions, ensuring reliable operation of digital workstations and processes. The procurement process emphasized flexible scalability, reliable handling of high inquiry volumes, and consistent service quality.
DATAGROUP's proposal stood out for its structured, practical solution concept and economically attractive bid. Key factors included a robust operational concept, proven experience in comparable projects, and longstanding expertise in the public sector and complex service organizations. “The digitization of public administration requires high-performance IT structures and reliable background services. Going forward, Dataport and we will be united by the shared mission of reliably supporting digital workplaces and administrative processes for numerous users,” said Andreas Baresel, CEO of DATAGROUP.
Andreas Reichel, Chief Technology Officer at Dataport, added: “For us, it was crucial to find a partner who could not only handle high service volumes but also ensure both service quality and support for our ongoing technological development. DATAGROUP impressed us with its experience in the public sector, its operational concept, and its clear focus on sustainable service quality.”
With this win, DATAGROUP gains a significant new client in the public sector, underscoring its expertise in high-volume service desk services. The company, which employs approximately 4,000 people at locations across Germany and the Netherlands, provides IT infrastructure and business application services through its CORBOX full-service offering. DATAGROUP continues to grow organically and through acquisitions, as detailed on its website at www.datagroup.de.
