Datavault AI Appoints Dr. Barry Childe as Chief Information Security Officer to Strengthen Cybersecurity and Quantum-Resistant Technologies

Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT), a provider of data monetization, credentialing, digital engagement and real-world asset tokenization technologies, announced the appointment of Dr. Barry Childe as chief information security officer. In this role, Childe will lead the company’s cybersecurity strategy, strengthen data protection across its tokenization, valuation and secure data monetization platforms, and oversee initiatives focused on AI security and quantum-resistant technologies.

Childe brings more than 40 years of experience in cybersecurity, high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure and distributed-ledger technology. His previous leadership roles include positions at HSBC, Barclays Capital, The Royal Bank of Scotland and VMware, as well as co-founding quantum-encryption company Arqit. CEO Nathaniel T. Bradley said Childe’s expertise in cryptography, high-performance computing and quantum-resistant security will help support the company’s secure infrastructure as it expands its tokenization, valuation and data monetization platforms.

This appointment comes at a critical time as Datavault AI continues to develop its cloud-based platform for AI-driven data experiences, valuation and monetization of assets in the Web 3.0 environment. The company’s Acoustic Sciences division features patented technologies including WiSA, ADIO and Sumerian, while the Data Science division leverages Web 3.0 and high-performance computing for data perception, valuation and secure monetization. As the company expands into industries such as sports and entertainment, biotech, fintech, real estate and healthcare, the need for robust cybersecurity measures becomes increasingly important.

Childe’s focus on quantum-resistant technologies is particularly significant given the potential threat quantum computing poses to current encryption standards. By integrating quantum-resistant security measures, Datavault AI aims to future-proof its platforms against emerging cyber threats. The company’s Information Data Exchange enables Digital Twins and the licensing of name, image and likeness by securely attaching physical real-world objects to immutable metadata, which requires advanced security protocols to maintain data integrity.
