The eighth edition of the International Conference and Exhibition Desalination Latin America is set to take place on June 17-18, 2026, in Santiago, Chile, bringing together key stakeholders from the desalination industry across Latin America. Organized by Vostock Capital, the event has established itself as a central hub for strategy development, investment attraction, and partnership growth in the region. Over the past seven years, the conference has gathered experts, delivered major projects, and created a platform for meaningful dialogue on sustainable water solutions.
This year's agenda will focus on confronting tomorrow's desalination challenges and unveiling projects driving sustainable transformation. The event will feature keynote regular participants including water utilities such as Aguas de Antofagasta, Econssa, Esval, Cramsa, Trends S.A., Desala, and Aguas Pacífico. Major mining companies like Codelco, Anglo American, Antofagasta Minerals, Southern Perú Copper Corporation, and Teck Resources will also participate, reflecting the critical role of desalination in mining operations. Investment projects to be highlighted include desalination for mining expansion programs in Chile, the Northern Chile Water Supply Corridor integrating multi-user desalination pipelines, Peru Coastal Desalination PPPs for Lima and southern industrial clusters, and Chile's renewable-powered desalination projects incorporating solar and wind energy for SWRO plants. Regional brine valorization and circular economy initiatives focusing on lithium and salt recovery will also be discussed. Upcoming 2026–2027 bidding rounds in Chile and Peru for new PPPs and multi-client desalination hubs are expected to attract significant interest.
In addition to the main conference, two exclusive technical site visits will be held in Spain for professionals seeking to strengthen their expertise. The first visit to the AcuaMed Desalination Plant in Murcia is scheduled for May 13-14, 2026, and the second to the ATL Desalination Plant in Llobregat on September 22-23, 2026.
