El Tesoro to Open 8,600 SF Restaurant at Lee + White in Atlanta's West End

El Tesoro has announced plans to open an 8,600-square-foot restaurant at Lee + White, a major adaptive reuse development in Atlanta's West End. The new outpost, located in the 1036 Building, will feature a large bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and big-screen TVs for sporting events, offering a casual yet elevated dining experience. The restaurant is expected to open in March, replacing the former Best End Brewing space.

The expansion marks El Tesoro's third full-service location in Atlanta, joining the original Edgewood site and a forthcoming 3,640-square-foot restaurant in South Downtown slated for spring 2026. Owner Alan Raines expressed enthusiasm for the move, stating, 'We've been very successful in our collaboration with Wild Heaven West End, with so much goodwill from the local residents, and now we are both ready for the next phase.' The new space will allow El Tesoro to host weddings, meetings, and community gatherings, positioning it as a neighborhood hub.

Marisa Roy and Patrick Green of Ackerman Retail represented owners Ackerman & Co. and MDH Partners in the lease transaction. Leo Wiener, President of Ackerman Retail, noted, 'El Tesoro has become a go-to stop for authentic Mexican food, and their growth is great news for Lee + White and the West End neighborhood.' The restaurant will serve family recipes including tacos, burritos, tamales, mulitas, and fresh juice margaritas, alongside a deep mezcal program.

In a related development, Wild Heaven Beer has purchased the Eats restaurant brand and will replace El Tesoro within its taproom with the popular meat-and-three concept, also targeting a March opening. This shift underscores the dynamic tenant mix at Lee + White, which has become a destination for food, drink, and community since its acquisition by Ackerman & Co. and MDH Partners in 2019.

Lee + White spans 442,562 square feet and features a half-mile of Atlanta BeltLine frontage, with direct trail access and proximity to the West End MARTA station. The development's latest phase added a food hall, creative office space, healthcare providers, and the 'Great Lawn' event space. Current tenants include breweries like Monday Night Garage, fitness concepts like The Overlook Boulder + Fitness, and over a dozen eateries in the food hall, such as Cielito Lindo, Dough Boy Pizza, and Vietvana.

El Tesoro's expansion reflects broader momentum in the West End, where adaptive reuse projects are revitalizing historic warehouse districts. The new restaurant will increase dining options for BeltLine users and local residents, contributing to the area's growing reputation as a culinary and cultural destination.
