Emerald Cruises & Tours has reached a significant milestone with the successful completion of sea trials for its next-generation super yacht, Emerald Kaia, in Halong Bay, Vietnam. The trials confirmed the vessel's performance, manoeuvrability, and overall seaworthiness, moving the yacht closer to its inaugural sailing—an 11-day Cyprus to the Acropolis itinerary departing Limassol on April 4, 2026.
Designed for a relaxed luxury experience, Emerald Kaia accommodates up to 128 guests and features Missoni decor and furnishings, expansive lounges, terraces, and decks. New interconnecting suites offer flexibility for families and groups, while all staterooms and suites provide contemporary comfort. The yacht introduces an all-new Observation Sun Deck with an additional spa pool, sun loungers, and shaded areas, as well as an innovative indoor/outdoor gym adjacent to the marina platform for swimming.
Dining enhancements include a redesigned signature restaurant La Cucina with a vibrant open kitchen, and the new Night Market Grill—an intimate private dining experience for eight guests at an additional cost. "Operationally, this sea trial has delivered excellent results and allows us to proceed with the final phase of commissioning with confidence."
With sea trials complete, final fittings and delivery are the next milestones before the inaugural sailing. Emerald Kaia will join Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara in the Emerald Yacht Cruises fleet, ahead of future sister yachts Emerald Raiya (2027) and Emerald Xara (2028). The Scenic Group continues to expand its portfolio, with Emerald Astra debuting in 2026 as the 10th Star-Ship on rivers, and Emerald Lumi marking the brand's first Seine River sailings in 2027.
