The Area Agency on Aging of Broward County is the nonprofit umbrella organization responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and funding programs for over 510,632 year-round Broward older adult residents, including an Elder Helpline, Medicare Counseling, Health & Wellness classes, and more.

The importance of this conference lies in its potential to alleviate the challenges faced by caregivers, who often experience high levels of stress and isolation while providing care for loved ones with cognitive decline. By offering free access to expert guidance, community resources, and peer networking, the event aims to empower caregivers with knowledge and support systems that can improve both their well-being and the quality of care they provide. As the population ages, such initiatives become critical in addressing the growing demand for dementia care support in Broward County.
