ESGold Corp. Drilling at Montauban Surpasses 2,000 Metres, Intersects Historical Workings

ESGold Corp. (CSE: ESAU) (OTCQB: ESAUF) has completed approximately 2,030 metres of diamond drilling at its Montauban Project in Québec, the company reported. The program, which began in 2026, has drilled 19 holes of a planned 5,000-metre campaign. Drilling has repeatedly encountered alteration, quartz-carbonate veining, and locally sulphide-bearing intervals within the geological environment associated with the historic Montauban mineralized system. Observed sulphides include pyrite, pyrrhotite, and galena.

Approximately 400 core samples have been submitted to SGS Laboratories in Val-d’Or for analysis, with assay results pending. The company also reported that nine drill holes have intersected historic underground workings or voids, providing geological control for comparing modern drilling with the former mine geometry. Drilling remains underway as ESGold tests potential continuation of the Montauban system outside and below the historic mine workings.

The intersection of historical workings is significant because it allows ESGold to calibrate its geological model against known mineralization. This control is critical for validating the continuity of the mineralized system and for guiding future resource estimates. The presence of sulphides such as pyrite, pyrrhotite, and galena further indicates that the drilling is intersecting the same mineralizing fluids that formed the historic Montauban deposit. As the company advances its flagship Montauban Gold-Silver Project, these results will inform the next phases of exploration and development.

ESGold is a fully permitted, fully funded, pre-production mining company advancing a scalable clean mining model across North America. Its Montauban Gold-Silver Project is under construction, and the company pursues a dual-track strategy of cash flow today and discovery tomorrow. The current drilling program is part of that strategy, aiming to expand the known mineralization and potentially extend the mine life beyond the historic workings. For investors, the pending assay results will provide the first hard data on the grade and continuity of the mineralization encountered in this campaign. Positive results could significantly de-risk the project and enhance its economic potential.
