Fashion Hong Kong Paris Promotion Wraps Up, Boosting Global Reach for Local Designers

The Fashion Hong Kong promotion in Paris, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) with Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) as strategic partner, concluded successfully on the final day of Paris Men’s Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027. The campaign, held from June 24 to 28, featured a professional showroom and networking reception that highlighted the creativity of Hong Kong designers and facilitated business connections for international expansion.

Held at Paris’s renowned fashion landmark Rue de la Paix, the showroom presented Spring/Summer 2027 collections from Hong Kong designer brands, including apparel and accessories. The event attracted buyers, media, and industry professionals from Europe and beyond, enabling business matching and partnership discussions. Notably, Hong Kong labels MARCCH and Matter Matters unveiled pieces created in collaboration with Paris-based artist Yaz Bukey, exemplifying cross-cultural creative exchange.

A networking reception on June 27 drew over 200 fashion professionals, fostering vibrant conversations and expanding international networks for Hong Kong designers. A subsequent “Hong Kong Fashion Night dinner” further strengthened ties with the global fashion community, laying a foundation for overseas market expansion.

This promotion marked the first cross-sector collaboration between HKTDC and Hactl. Hactl, a leader in sustainability and innovation in Hong Kong, contributed expertise in air cargo logistics and sustainability, complementing HKTDC’s global network to empower Hong Kong brands internationally. The partnership aligns with global trends emphasizing speed, connectivity, and sustainability in fashion, showcasing Hong Kong’s innovative integration of creativity, commerce, and professional services.

Mr. Chris Lo, Regional Director, Europe, Central Asia & Israel, HKTDC, stated: “This collaboration reflects Hong Kong’s unique strengths in combining creativity with connectivity. By partnering with Hactl, we are not only showcasing our designers’ talent but also demonstrating how Hong Kong’s logistics excellence and sustainability leadership can support the global fashion industry.”

Mr. Frosti Lau, Chief Executive of Hactl, added: “Fashion is global, fast-moving, and increasingly driven by sustainability. Our collaboration with the HKTDC at Paris Fashion Week highlights how air cargo supports the fashion industry, celebrates the innovation and creativity of Hong Kong designers, as well as promotes sustainability in both the fashion and air cargo industries. At Hactl, we drive energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and promote circular practices through zero-waste uniform upcycling and the use of eco-friendly materials across our operations.”

Launched in 2015, Fashion Hong Kong promotes Hong Kong designers at major fashion events in cities including New York, London, Paris, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai. Through these promotions, the initiative connects local brands with global buyers and industry players, helping them expand into Chinese Mainland and overseas markets.
