Flosser Y, a reusable floss holder designed to address the inconvenience and environmental impact of traditional flossing, launched globally on Kickstarter on October 7, 2025. Developed by Simflo, the device features a built-in floss cartridge that can be replaced in seconds, a secure gripping mechanism, and a built-in cutter for trimming. The company aims to make daily flossing more accessible and sustainable.
Traditional floss and disposable picks often lack stability and contribute to plastic waste. Flosser Y tackles these issues with a design that prioritizes both user experience and environmental responsibility. The device houses a floss cartridge that can be swapped in three seconds by opening a lever with a one-touch button. The floss is held firmly using a serrated structure and leverage principle, while a built-in cutter simultaneously trims the floss. This design allows users to clean all teeth, including hard-to-reach molars, with stability.
The head of Flosser Y is optimized at 1.02 inches to reach back molars, and its curved tip ensures comfort even when inserted deep into the mouth. The handle can store up to two additional floss cartridges, enabling immediate replacement. A sliding cover enhances portability and continuous use. The standard cartridge contains the equivalent of 150 single-use floss picks, significantly reducing plastic consumption compared to disposable alternatives.
To further minimize environmental impact, Simflo offers an eco-friendly biodegradable floss option made from bamboo charcoal. Users can choose from three floss types: 420D (Nylon), 500D (PTFE), or 720D (Bamboo), depending on their dental needs. The device is available in four colors—Midnight Black, Pastel Blue, Cream White, and Sunset Rose—positioning it as both a functional tool and a stylish accessory.
