H2APEX Group SCA, a leading developer and operator of green hydrogen plants, announced today that it is raising its revenue forecast for the full year 2025 to between EUR 9 million and EUR 10 million, up from the previous range of EUR 6 million to EUR 8 million. The upward revision reflects the initial success of the company's adjusted strategy, which prioritizes the expansion of its own hydrogen production capacities and the provision of external services.
The unexpected increase in revenue is partly attributed to the joint IPCEI-funded project with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) in Lubmin, where H2APEX has provided initial project development services. CEO Peter Roßner stated, 'We see the increased revenue forecast as a clear first sign that we have made the right decision with our focus on expanding our own hydrogen production capacities and external services.'
In addition to the Lubmin project, which is expected to have a capacity of 100 MW in its first expansion stage, H2APEX plans to implement smaller, decentralized hydrogen projects to meet immediate demand without relying on pipeline connections. The company expects to generate the majority of its revenue from operating its own plants in the medium to long term, aiming for greater revenue stability, predictable cash flow, and improved scalability.
Further revenue potential lies in services for external customers and joint ventures, including operation and maintenance of hydrogen plants and project development. H2APEX also continues to develop its own hydrogen storage solutions for efficient transport.
