The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host five major exhibitions from August 13 to 17 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, under the theme “Live Well.Stay Well.” The events include the 36th Food Expo, 10th Beauty & Wellness Expo, 12th Home Delights Expo, 4th Food Expo PRO, and 17th Hong Kong International Tea Fair. Together, they will bring together more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, offering a platform for sourcing, networking, and retail.
This year marks a significant expansion, with all ASEAN member states represented for the first time, including debut participations from Brunei and Timor-Leste. New exhibitors from Colombia and Greece also join, and the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has organized delegations from multiple provinces to showcase premium agricultural products. HKTDC Associate Executive Director Smilely Lam emphasized that Hong Kong serves as an ideal gateway for food companies to access the Chinese Mainland and global markets.
The Food Expo PRO introduces a new “Meat Zone” to meet rising demand for premium meats, featuring Korean frozen marinated barbecue and a Hong Kong brand’s halal-certified beef tendon balls. The “Coffee Zone” expands with exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States. A “Food Science and Technology Zone” will showcase alternative foods and food-service robots, and the Food Tech Symposium will explore technology’s role in healthier lifestyles.
For the first time, Pet Food products are introduced, with a Hong Kong exhibitor using patented packaging to preserve nutrition without preservatives or cold-chain logistics. The halal food label returns for the third year, with over 130 exhibitors, and a networking reception on August 14 will connect halal exhibitors with buyers.
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will display rare teas, including a first-flush Kunlu Mountain purple bud pu’er from Yunnan, white tea from Laos, and Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka. New pavilions include a Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion from Guizhou and Zhejiang, and an Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion. The “Tea Lifestyle” zone introduces innovative products like sparkling tea and tea-based cocktails, while the Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum will discuss the internationalization of Chinese tea brands.
The fairs will feature Five Themed Days: “Happy Eat Happy Life,” “The World in Blink,” “Coffee or Tea,” “Stay Fresh, Stay Ahead,” and “Let’s Chill,” with programs including chef demonstrations, health seminars, and wellness workshops.
The Food Expo will highlight global gourmet delights, with over 100 dessert products and a new Dessert and Gelato Theme. Highlights include Singapore’s Old Seng Choong pandan chiffon cakes, Thailand’s Drop by Dough artisanal doughnuts, and local Hong Kong brands offering low-fat gelato with patented mushroom extract. The Gourmet Zone celebrates its 15th edition with 15 celebrity chefs and a commemorative recipe book.
For the elderly, the “SilverQ-Mark CareFood Culinary Competition” on August 16 will demonstrate care food preparation, and exhibitors will showcase innovative food-processing equipment.
The Beauty & Wellness Expo introduces the “Stay Relax” zone with red-light therapy capsules and medicated balms, and the “Scentsation” zone returns with the Xuelei Fragrance Museum’s interactive experience. Fitness associations will stage demonstrations.
The Home Delights Expo focuses on quality sleep and smart living, with the Sleep Health Association’s “Go Sleep Exp” and HKT’s smart home offers, including discounts up to 70% on appliances.
The International Conference on the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) will be held from August 13 to 15, with over 30 speakers from 11 countries discussing regulatory policies and global pathways. The conference is expanded to three days and will be held in a hybrid format.
To celebrate HKTDC’s 60th anniversary, special promotions include free admission before noon for 600 visitors daily, “6”-themed offers, and lucky draws with prizes worth over HK$1 million. E-tickets are available through various platforms, and no physical tickets will be issued.
These events underscore Hong Kong’s position as an international trade hub, particularly for wellness and food industries, and provide opportunities for businesses to connect with global markets.
