Hong Kong Tech Delegation to Showcase Innovations at MWC 2026 and 4YFN

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), in collaboration with Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), will lead a delegation of 21 Hong Kong tech companies and institutions to showcase at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 and debut at 4 Years From Now (4YFN) 2026, taking place concurrently from March 2-5 in Barcelona, Spain. This dual presence aims to provide a comprehensive picture of Hong Kong's innovation and technology (I&T) capabilities to global telecom leaders, enterprise decision-makers, industry partners, and investors.

Building on momentum from MWC 2025, the delegation will feature solutions beyond connectivity, covering areas such as Devices and Systems, Digital Transformation, and support from Ecosystem Partners. The pavilion is designed to bridge cutting-edge research and development into real-world applications, propelling Hong Kong's I&T sector onto the international stage. Iris Wong, Director of Merchandise Trade and Innovation at HKTDC, stated that the pavilion is an ideal platform for Hong Kong tech enterprises to present their latest R&D achievements at major international tech gatherings and support their journey to explore overseas markets while highlighting Hong Kong's strengths as an international I&T hub. Derek Chim, Head of Startup Ecosystem and Development at HKSTP, noted that MWC is a global bellwether for communications technology, providing a solid ground for tech companies at any stage to validate solutions, catalyze pilot projects, accelerate commercialization, and scale internationally.

Throughout the events, a series of dialogues and exchanges, including networking receptions, themed talks, and pitching sessions, will take place at the pavilion to facilitate partnerships and investment opportunities for market-ready innovative solutions with high potential for expansion. Notable examples include Asmote under the "Connectivity" category, specializing in mmWave technology for Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), particularly in drone communications and control, which is rising to meet the city's low-altitude economy initiatives. Cresento, located at 4YFN, is developing an AI-powered shin guard for real-time sports performance insights and is moving from prototypes to pilot collaborations with European football clubs and academies.

HKTDC continues to join hands with HKSTP to support Hong Kong tech enterprises to "go global" by organizing the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion, building bridges linking tech companies with the world. This expedites the industry's progress in internationalization to meet the growing demand for I&T globally, attract talents, facilitate forward-looking investments, and explore opportunities globally, consolidating Hong Kong's position as an international I&T hub.
