Hong Kong Tech Fairs to Showcase AI, Robotics and Future Industries, Drawing 6,200 Exhibitors

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to stage four flagship technology fairs in October, expecting to attract some 6,200 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions. The events—the 46th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), the 29th electronicAsia, the 11th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, and the 28th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition)—will highlight cutting-edge technologies spanning consumer electronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, smart lighting, and smart city applications. The fairs reflect global trends in industrial upgrading and digital transformation, and underscore Hong Kong's role as a two-way global investment and business hub.

The Electronics Fair and electronicAsia will run concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 13 to 16 October, bringing together over 3,200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions. A major new element is the Future Industries Zone, supported by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the HKSAR Government and jointly organised by the HKTDC and the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association. The zone will focus on five key themes: Future Computing, Future Manufacturing, Future Marine & Quantum Technologies, Future Microelectronics, and Future Wellness. More than 100 exhibitors, including industry leaders such as Lenovo, AV Concept, and GP Energy Tech, will showcase cutting-edge solutions. The fair will also feature a start-up pitching competition and forums dedicated to technology talent development and industry application matching.

In support of Hong Kong's strategic direction to advance AI and innovation, the HKTDC is introducing a dedicated GoGlobal Connect Zone to help Chinese Mainland enterprises expand into international markets through Hong Kong's professional services. A series of "GoGlobal" themed forums will cover market entry, financing, risk management, and compliance. The fair will also spotlight AI and robotics with three highlighted themes: AI & Robotics, Smart Wellness, and NEXTEntertainment. More than 120 robots will be showcased, including AgiBot, the world's leading humanoid robot manufacturer by shipment volume in the first half of 2026, and UBTECH's next-generation full-sized humanoid robot designed for "urban coexistence." Interactive experiences such as the RoboDog Garden and a robot football exhibition will allow visitors to engage directly with these technologies.

The twin lighting fairs, under the theme "Beyond Illumination," will bring together some 3,000 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions. The Autumn Lighting Fair will feature the Hall of Connected Lighting with more than 60 leading brands, including Signify, Casambi, and TUYA, and will debut a new LED Display Solution Zone. The Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will focus on smart city lighting trends, with exhibitor Fonda Technology showcasing intelligent lighting solutions based on its FondaCity AIoT Cloud Platform. These fairs reinforce Hong Kong's position as a premier platform for the global lighting industry.
