As organizations grapple with the rapidly changing dynamics of hiring, HR.com’s HR Research Institute has unveiled its 2027 Talent Acquisition Advisory Board, a diverse group of seasoned HR and talent acquisition (TA) professionals. Their mission: to steer upcoming research and a virtual event that will delve into the current state and future direction of talent acquisition.
The research will focus on how organizations measure the effectiveness of their TA functions, the challenges they face, and the strategies, technologies, and metrics they rely on to attract and hire top talent. A key area of exploration will be the impact of modern technology on both the candidate and recruiter experience, a critical factor in a competitive hiring landscape.
“This new board brings together deep expertise that will be instrumental in ensuring this research delivers practical, actionable insights for HR and talent acquisition leaders as they prepare for what’s next,” said Debbie McGrath, CEO of HR.com. The board’s collective experience spans various industries and organizational sizes, ensuring a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities in talent acquisition.
Looking ahead, the research will also examine evolving hiring needs, TA priorities, automation, and emerging technologies, while identifying practices that are linked to stronger outcomes. These insights will shape a corresponding virtual event, the Future of Talent Acquisition 2027, scheduled for January 27, 2027, and offered free to the HR community.
The newly formed advisory board includes:
Julia Aybin, Senior Recruiting Manager at Rippling; Talia Edmundson, Founder and Principal of HRnB Consulting; Brian Gilbert, Head of Global Talent Acquisition at Nova Biomedical; Keirsten Greggs, Founder and Principal Talent Acquisition Consultant; Steve Levy, a Global Talent Acquisition & Sourcing Expert; Hannah Miller, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at St. Francis Health System; Tara Turk-Haynes, VP of People and Talent at Equity Activations; and Emily Walsh, a Nurse Recruiter at UMC Health System.
This initiative reflects HR.com’s commitment to providing data-driven insights for HR professionals. The HR Research Institute publishes annual “State of the Industry” reports across a variety of HR topics, including the recent Future of Talent Acquisition 2026 report, which offers a baseline for understanding trends in this space.
The research and upcoming event promise to deliver valuable information for HR leaders seeking to optimize their talent acquisition strategies. By tapping into the expertise of the advisory board, the institute aims to produce insights that are both relevant and actionable, helping organizations navigate the ever-evolving talent landscape.
