John Foy & Associates Awards 2025 Strong Arm Leukemia Scholarship to Madilyn Abor

John Foy & Associates has announced Madilyn Abor as the recipient of the 2025 Strong Arm Leukemia Scholarship. Abor, who was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia at age 9, endured intensive treatment that led to septic shock, organ failure, and blood clots around her heart. Despite these challenges, she recovered and now dedicates her life to supporting children with leukemia and other serious conditions.

Abor will receive $1,000 to support her final semester at Baylor University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. In her scholarship essay, she detailed her physical suffering, survivor's guilt, and determination to become a pediatric oncology physician assistant. She plans to enter a physician assistant program after working as a medical assistant. Abor wrote that she wants to "stand beside children who need someone to help them see their own strength, and to ensure they know their battles do not define them." She has already gained experience as a camp counselor with Camp John Mark.

John Foy & Associates was deeply moved by Abor's story and hopes the scholarship eases her final semester. The firm, known as "The Strong Arm," has served Atlanta for over 25 years, advocating for clients in personal injury cases. Students interested in applying for the 2026 Strong Arm Leukemia Scholarship can review the terms and conditions for updated criteria and deadlines.
