Kaufman & Company Launches Unified Platform, Integrating Real Estate and Venture Operations

Kaufman & Company, the permanent capital holding company led by Daniel Kaufman, has completed a year-long consolidation effort with the launch of its integrated platform and new website, thekaufmanco.com. The move unites ten operating companies, a seven-company venture portfolio under Kaufman Ventures, and affiliated partnerships into a single structure spanning residential development, workforce housing, AI infrastructure, and venture capital.

Daniel Kaufman, founder and principal, emphasized that the platform's purpose is to break down silos and enable shared resources. “We’ve spent the last year bringing every company we’ve built or backed under one platform so they can share capital, data, and execution discipline instead of operating in silos,” he said. “This is the structure the work has been building toward.”

The operating companies now presented under the platform include Convivium Living, a vertically integrated co-living developer; DanReDev, a Dallas-based build-to-rent and workforce housing firm; DEK Builds, which focuses on custom mountain homes in Wyoming; Design Build Affordable, serving affordable housing in Florida; DK Homes, building communities in the Northeast and Florida; Forge Development Partners, specializing in urban rentals in Philadelphia; Kaufman Development, an AI infrastructure and mixed-use developer; Kaufman Real Estate & Consulting, led by Kaufman himself; LoneStar Kaufman, handling commercial and residential projects nationwide; and Kaufman Ventures, the venture capital arm.

Collectively, the platform reports more than $2 billion in project value delivered, over 10,000 housing units developed, and more than 25 years of industry experience.

Kaufman Ventures formally introduces its portfolio of seven technology companies designed to serve real estate operations, starting with Kaufman & Company's own businesses. These include BridgeStar, an AI-powered partner portal; Meridian, portfolio intelligence tooling; LandBriefing, a land intelligence platform; SpreadSight, data and analytics tools; FoundCheck, diligence and benchmarking software; and ServerDomes, focused on AI data center development. The strategy is to build tools that the operating companies use first before offering them to the broader industry.

The platform also maintains a relationship with Oldivai, an independent workforce housing partner that aligns with the ecosystem but is not one of the ten platform companies.

The consolidation involved integrating financial reporting, shared services, and go-to-market strategies across previously independent entities, while preserving each company's identity and leadership. The new website also features a public-facing partner portal at BridgeStar.ai, providing borrowers, investors, and partners access to deal information, along with media and press sections.

Kaufman noted that while each company retains its own team and market focus, the platform enables them to “move capital, share underwriting discipline, and put technology like BridgeStar and Meridian to work across all of them at once.”
