The acquisition of STTGDC by a consortium led by global investment firm KKR and Singtel has been completed, ushering in a new era for the Singapore-based data centre platform. The company also unveiled a refreshed global brand anchored in the concept of 'Built Ready,' signalling its commitment to delivering reliable, resilient, and AI-ready infrastructure across Asia, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
This transaction provides STTGDC with long-term capital and increased financial flexibility, enabling it to accelerate its growth strategy while maintaining continuity in leadership and customer focus. Bruno Lopez, President and Group CEO of STTGDC, emphasized the significance of this milestone, stating that the completion marks a turning point in the company's evolution since its founding over 12 years ago. He noted that the investment from the KKR-Singtel consortium enhances STTGDC's capacity to grow and execute at scale, all while upholding the values and customer commitment that have defined the company.
STTGDC enters this next phase with strong operational momentum. Since the end of 2025, operational capacity has increased by 25% to 780MW, contracted capacity has grown by 50%, and annualised EBITDA has risen by 30%[1]. This growth reflects sustained demand from hyperscalers, cloud service providers, AI customers, and enterprises across its markets.
As AI transforms the scale and complexity of data centre development, the industry's primary challenge is converting demand into delivered capacity. This requires more than just capital and land; it demands coordinated planning across power, cooling, design, supply chains, financing, and local market conditions. STTGDC's strategy focuses on markets where customer requirements, power availability, infrastructure readiness, policy alignment, and long-term fundamentals support responsible development. With close to 2GW of powered land secured for assets under construction and pipeline development, the company is well-positioned to meet this challenge.
In India, STTGDC operates 34 data centres across 10 cities, with more than 613MW of IT capacity, strategically scaling to support the country's digital economy. In Indonesia, the company is expanding its Jakarta campus, advancing a development pipeline of over 360MW of AI-ready IT capacity backed by secured power. Singapore remains strategically important, with STTGDC selected to develop 50MW of sustainable, AI-ready data centre capacity, contributing to the nation's priorities as a trusted and resilient hub for AI and digital infrastructure.
Responsible growth remains integral to STTGDC's operations. With 83.2% of electricity consumption sourced from renewable energy, the company has surpassed its 2028 carbon intensity reduction target three years ahead of schedule. It continues to work closely with governments, customers, and communities to address local priorities and maintain its social licence to operate.
The refreshed brand embodies the scale and capabilities STTGDC has built over more than a decade, reflecting its evolution into a global digital infrastructure platform. As digital infrastructure becomes increasingly critical to economies and communities, STTGDC's 'Built Ready' commitment underscores its dedication to delivering the infrastructure customers need to grow with confidence while building responsibly.
