LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) is advancing a multi-pronged growth strategy centered on restarting operations at its Beacon Gold Mill and developing the nearby Swanson Gold Project, as outlined in a recent article. The company, which operates in the Abitibi greenstone belt near Val-d'Or, Québec, has been busy with major developments amid volatile gold prices that have ranged from US$4,000 to US$5,400 per ounce in 2025. "The last quarter has been an extremely busy time full of major developments for LaFleur and also a run in the price of gold from the US$4,000 range in 2025, to a high of US$5,400 and now volatile trading in the US$4,500-$5,000/ounce range," CEO Paul Ténière said.
The Abitibi greenstone belt is a prolific gold-producing region, accounting for more than 300 million ounces historically and currently. LaFleur's strategy includes strategic acquisitions and experienced management to protect shareholder value through efficient financing. The company has been in talks with rail officials to improve transit between the Swanson Project and the Beacon Mill, proposing a new spur that would extend directly from the rail line crossing the property to the mill. This infrastructure enhancement could significantly reduce transportation costs and improve operational efficiency.
The Swanson Project spans 192 square kilometers and includes 445 mineral claims and one mining lease. Diamond drilling intercepts have shown promising results, including 2.05 g/t Au over 158.25 meters, with narrow high-grade results such as 121.0 g/t Au over 1.1 meters. The company anticipates potential additional open-pit gold recovery across the length of the project. The Beacon Mill, fully permitted and refurbished, is capable of processing over 750 tonnes per day and is being considered for processing mineralized material from Swanson and for custom milling operations for other nearby gold projects.
LaFleur's focus on district-scale gold projects in the Abitibi Gold Belt positions it to deliver long-term value. The Swanson Gold Project includes several prospects previously held by Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining, and is easily accessible by road, providing direct access to several nearby gold mills. The company's recent consolidation of a large land package along a major structural break hosts the Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin gold deposits and other showings.
