Chia-Lin Simmons, CEO of LogicMark Inc. (OTC: LGMK), recently appeared on Benzinga's All-Access to discuss the company's innovative medical alert products and growth strategy. LogicMark specializes in personal emergency response systems (PERS), health communications devices, and IoT technologies that create a connected care platform for seniors both at home and on the go.
“LogicMark has products that are really pushing the edge of what people expect from medical alert products,” Simmons said, highlighting the Freedom Alert Max as a prime example. “It's literally a microsized phone that your loved one doesn’t have to program. It's the only product in the medical alert system industry today that actually allows you to check in via video.” The Freedom Alert Max is a fully functional cellular phone that also includes fall detection, geofencing location boundaries, and unlimited non-emergency calls.
The company has been investing in both hardware and software innovation since Simmons took the helm in 2021. With double-digit revenue growth in the second quarter, LogicMark is focused on sustaining that momentum. To support this goal, the company recently appointed Jeffrey Durkin as senior vice president of sales. “We’re focused on growth, sales and earnings,” Simmons said.
LogicMark's advancements come at a time when the demand for remote monitoring and independent living solutions for seniors is increasing. The Freedom Alert Max, with its video capability, addresses a gap in the market where most medical alert systems only offer audio communication. The device allows caregivers to visually check on their loved ones, providing peace of mind and potentially reducing emergency room visits.
